Latest Versions of The Full British Isles Mapsets
These mapsets are the most thoroughly tested and used. These routable maps can be used without routing and therefore can be used for hiking, cycling and geocaching, etc.
The maps do not come in the traditional paper based scales of 1:50,000 or 1:25,000 as they are dynamic; the more you zoom in the more detail is shown (until it all appears).
These maps also do not suffer from the jaggy display issues found with the official Garmin Discoverer maps when you zoom in.
The standard maps will be updated around once a quarter, the TT 1:50K Look n Feel maps are updated most weeks:
FREE* STANDARD MAPSETS (Using OSM/NASA data)
*This means that you are welcome to use them at no cost for personal use only! See the FAQ for more details.
All maps created by Talkytoaster are not allowed to be sold, re-sold, electronically or included on products that are sold (GPS, MicroSD cards, DVDs, etc.) either via physical stores, electronic stores or car boot sales, events, meetings, etc. as this is a breach of the terms and conditions of use – failure to abide by these terms will risk the continuation of them being offered for free.
Any individual, company or organisation found to be in breach of these terms and conditions may be prosecuted to the full extent allowed under the law.
The FREE British-Isles Standard style maps are available for download via the Shop page (at no cost).
If you are having any problems downloading the maps, please see point 3a in the FAQ here for guidance.
Likewise, if you need step-by-step instructions on how to install the maps on to your Garmin, these can be found in section 3 of the same FAQ.

I have tested these maps on a Garmin Oregon 550, Etrex 30 and Vista Hcx [the full British Isles versions with contour data] and also on a computer in MapSource/BaseCamp [PC and Mac] for those versions designed for use with it to ensure that they load and render as expected. I do not test all the map data or functions as this is not possible in a reasonable time-frame.
